Oh Panera, you give me such joy in visiting you. With your selection of pastries, bagels, breads, and not to mention your delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches I feel that the possibilities are endless. And my most favorite thing…free wifi. I have so many fond memories of spending time sitting in your comfy booths catching up with my girl friends. Before I moved, you were less than 5 minutes away from me and were walking/biking distance. Now, you’re about 20 minutes away and my heart is NOT happy. When Jimmy and I move, one of the first things I shall do is find my nearest Panera Bread for my weekly fix. Thank you for always being there for me.

Anyway, things are going great! A few weeks ago Jimmy got his date to leave for basic training…November 29th! We were awaiting a call to let us know he’d be leaving any day now, but it’s nice for us to have a date and make the most of the time we have left together before we are away from each other for 8 weeks. We’re thinking of taking a mini-vacation somewhere, but not sure where yet. It’ll be nice that he will get to be here on Thanksgiving, but the thought of spending Christmas and New Years without him makes me cry a little inside, and I’ll definitely be crying on the outside when he’s gone. All I gotta say is that we better have one heck of an amazing Valentine’s Day when he comes back!!

Gosh, where do I begin? Ashley is one of the most beautiful, caring, and sweetest girls I know. This girl and I go back pretty far and have an interesting history as to how we became friends. Let’s just say that liking the same guy doesn’t always end in drama! Hah. I consider her my “non-related sister”. She has been there for me in so many ways and what I love so much about our friendship is that we can go for months without talking or seeing each other but when we do, it’s like we just pick up where we left off and nothing changes. She was my maid of honor and my wedding was held in her front yard! Her family is like a second family to me and I always cherish the time I spend with her and her lovely family. I love you, Achli!

She came to visit me a little while ago and our day consisted of lunch at Johnny Rocket’s, shopping, and being silly with my camera in the playground down the street!

my top is from Marshall’s, shorts and belt are thrifted, and shoes are from Target.

We probably looked so silly at the playground with my tripod set up and running around and posing, but…it was fun so who cares! If we looked dumb, we looked dumb together. I love my friends

So this summer has had it’s share of pretty fun moments. Some boring as well, but I didn’t document any of the boring stuff so here is a post that I’ve documented of all the FUN!

Enjoyed a pool party with family and friends. And also, my sis-in-love Jax and her bf BJ came for a visit from Australia for a total of 6 days. Spending time with them was so lovely and parting was emotional since we don’t know when we’ll see them again, but all in all, such a blast.

So now that Summer is slowing down and coming to an end, my hours at work are picking up. The end of summer will probably bring lots of changes for Jimmy and I. We are still patiently waiting, and at times even feeling a little antsy, but trying to make the most of it and cherishing our time, with each other and with family. We’ve been going on dates and hanging out with our friends often and it’s been so much fun! Jimmy’s 21st birthday is coming up in about a week and we will probably go out to dinner and order his first glass of wine

I just finished answering questions for another blog interview so I will be posting about that later. Blog interviews are way too much fun! Take care friends

i love me some quality alone time with my husband. here are pictures of us being silly on one of our dates. we went to starbucks for a little, then were off to see prince of persia. we were singing and dancing loudly in the car on the way and were feeling pretty hyper and acting like kids. we have so much fun together

so jimmy makes faces and i have names for them. this is his “no chin” face, a new one he came up with.

this is his creepy stalker face. he puts his head down and moves his eyes around while breathing heavily. SUPER creepy and weird, but it never fails to crack me up.

the extreme heat over here has prevented me from taking any new outfit photos. perhaps i’ll try to brave it and get some shots this week but we’ll see. i’m kind of a wuss!

Gosh, I love these girls. Just looking at these pictures made me have the urge to pick up our picnic basket right now, fill it with snacks, set a blanket down on the grass and drag Jimmy outside with me! Although I should probably wait until tomorrow, when the sun is out again. And when Jimmy isn’t in bed with the sniffles.

a sneak peek of summertime

these are a few weeks old, but being so behind as usual, i just uploaded them. i visited two of my best friends back home and we got some chinese food, laid out a blanket at taryne’s alumni campus, and chilled with their pups, charlie and gigi! i always have so much fun with krystal and taryne and they’re such beautiful, sweet girls. unfortunately i don’t get to see them as often as i’d like but everytime i do it’s always an adventure. we all need our “girl time” sometimes

i took sooo many pictures this day it was kind of overwhelming to post them all! tomorrow i’m actually headed to palm springs with the girls for the day and i can’t wait! swimming, dinner and a movie…yes please. when i get back home i’ll post the rest of the photos from that day and possibly more, and i’ll definitely be posting some palm springs pics! have a good rest of the weekend, friends.

about a week ago, i tagged along with my sister-in-love on one of her photoshoots. she’s starting her own photography business and doing great so far! anyway i was the unofficial babysitter and while she was doing a family photoshoot, i got to watch my niece joss and explore some of oak glen.

afterwards, jhen and i had a little photoshoot and had some fun of our own.

my husband jimmy and i have annual passes to disneyland. we first had them when we were dating, he bought us passes as my birthday present. i gotta say, best birthday present EVER. anyway we just got them renewed a few weeks ago! we go somewhat often, but a lot of the times i don’t bother to bring my camera or i just forget. this is not one of those times! i think i can also speak for jimmy when i say that there’s never a time when we don’t want to go to d-land. i’m going to start making it a rule for myself to always bring my camera when we go because i had wayyy too much fun taking these. plus, the memories of our disney dates wouldn’t hurt either

and as for what i wore, the lace top and dress is thrifted, the cardigan and flats are forever 21 (purchased a few years ago)

minnie’s house is my favorite! i was bummed that the house was closed up for pictures because the inside of her house is awesome.

they sell these huge turkey legs there and jimmy always wanted to try one so..he did. and yeah, i was a little grossed out.

and here ends another bulk post. one day i will be a better blogger and not save massive amounts of photos for one post. anyway i hope you enjoyed!

a nice day for the zoo

all of us went to the zoo a few weeks ago, it was one of the last things we wanted to do as a family before we say goodbye to jax and she flies back to australia. she’s leaving in less than a week and there are definitely bittersweet feelings. so sad to say goodbye, but so excited for her at the same time. her boyfriend bj is such a great guy and they’re perfect together. it may be hard for everyone to let her go, but i definitely think we feel better knowing she’ll be taken care of and in good hands

Jimmy and I recently drove to Whittier because he was asked to participate at a Worship service at our church, so while he was practicing, I met up with two of my closest friends Krystal and Taryne and hung out with them and their pups! And also met Tar’s new puppy Charlie, for the first time.

I was really happy, as you can see.

It was so cute to see them interact and flirt/play. Gigi is fully grown and Charlie is still a puppy so she would get annoyed at how crazy and all over the place he was, but as soon as he stopped chasing her around, she would try to get his attention on her again! I think I see the beginning of a blossoming friendship…or maybe more.

Can’t wait till Jimmy and I get our first pup!
