Not too long ago, I was sitting in a doctor’s office, heart pounding, doing everything I could to hold back tears while my OB said “We will be checking up on him with ultrasounds weekly now, and it is our goal and milestone for you to reach 32 weeks in your pregnancy. Then we can take it from there. But if his oxygen flow doesn’t improve, we need you to be prepared for delivery.”
In less than 24 hours I’ll hit my 32 weeks. I don’t see my high risk OB until 37. He’s breathing, growing, moving, and not leaving anytime soon. I can’t wait to welcome full term with open arms. God has answered our prayers and I get to carry our little boy longer. Today I am relishing and in a state of bliss for being in the 32nd week of pregnancy that we weren’t sure we’d ever reach. But the milestone has officially been reached, and will be surpassed. Thank you, God.
