home made pizza à la jax.

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

Within days of my sister Jacky’s arrival home from Australia, she made Jimmy, me, and our friend Zack home made pizzas for dinner. She made some again a few nights ago which reminded me to post these. Lets just say calling them tasty would be an understatement….enjoy.

artichoke and feta!

More posts coming soon! I am in lazy mode and haven’t touched my camera in a week or so, which is a big deal for me.

What I wore to work:

So I just purchased these tights a few weeks ago and I have to say, they’re the boldest pair I own. I also own sparkly tights, floral, and argyle ones but these are my new favorite. I was hesitant to get them, but they were the last pair left and well, they may not be something I’m used to wearing, but I’m always up for trying new things so I went ahead and got them anyway. It can be tricky to wear them without looking too busy, which is why I kept everything else simple. I’ve also been wearing that headband non-stop. It’s one of the only headbands I have that don’t squeeze behind my ears too hard! (a pet peeve of mine)

Jimmy took me shopping the other day (late christmas present) and I got a few really cute things. I’ll be sure to include them in my next post!

I was browsing the archives of Teen Vogue the other day and fell in love with their spreads all over again. I used to be an avid Teen Vogue reader a few years ago, but let’s just say it’s been awhile since i last picked one of their magazines up. My love has rekindled. Here are some of my favorite looks.

November 2009

Loved this grungy, early nineties look. The early nineties are one of my favorite decades of fashion. I’m taken back to my childhood with Clueless, florals, thermals, flannels, lace-up doc martens, and crop tops. Love it!

first post of 2010!

I hope you all had a happy and safe new years! Wow, I haven’t been very good at keeping up with this blog, my apologies. Anyway, on New Years Eve, I had to work and close out the store, but thankfully my manager made sure we were out of there before midnight so I got to ring in the new year with Jimmy and the family. In fact, most of our time has been spent with family lately and I’m loving it. All of us are living under the same roof now and when I say it’s a crowded house, I mean it in the best way possible. I’ve gotten to bond with my sisters, and with the newest addition to the family, baby Josselyn. She is so precious and I can just stare at her for hours. I’m a big fan of babies in general, but she just melts my heart.

So that’s my update. Here are some pictures from when Jimmy took me on a date to Oak Glen a few days before Christmas. Jimmy and I agreed that as laid back as we are, it’s nice to go out on dates every so often and have some quality alone time together. And although we don’t have a little family of our own yet, when we do, our dates will definitely still be a priority. That boy never fails to make me feel special and loved, so you can imagine how much I enjoy our dates. I am such a lucky girl. =]

And to make up for my lack of posting, I’ll make this a very image-heavy post.

Lunch at Apple Annie’s, and a look at their bakery…

Then we went to the petting zoo

Peacocks are one of my favorite birds ever. It was so fun to see them walking around freely.

favorite favorite FAVORITE moment of the day. Everyone who knows me well knows that deer and fawns are my favorite animal!

And in case you were wondering what I’m wearing…

my coat is from forever21 a few years ago, the circle scarf is from wet seal, and my dress and oxfords are thrifted.

Most of the pictures are of me because Jimmy preferred to be behind the camera snapping shots, but I stole the camera from him a few times and snuck these in. He does makes a dashing cowboy, if I do say so myself.

And us :)

If you actually read through this entire entry and looked at all the pictures, my hats off to you!
