go away, summer

I can’t seem to remember what I wore this for. But it was definitely for something, because lately I haven’t been in the mood for wearing dresses much. You would think that in this heat I would want to wear light, flowy dresses that feel nice and airy. Nope. I’ve been living in jeans or cut-off jean shorts lately. It’s comfortable, yes, but I’ve been lacking creativity when it comes to how I’m dressing these days. Sooner or later I’ll get out of this rut, but I’m okay with it for now. All I have to say is I can’t WAIT for the colder weather. Tights, OTK socks, scarves and peacoats, here I come!

The dress and belt are both thrifted, the bandeau is from American Apparel, and the heels are from Payless circa 2006.

Okay, so I’m loving my website. The thing is, I’m struggling with what I’m using it for exactly. And that may or may not be the reason why I’m updating this thing less. So I am posting this to say…I will be posting more often, while continuing to try getting myself out of a writer’s block or uninspiring/uncreative rut. And now I will end this entry with pictures of our picnic from a few weeks back. It was Jimmy’s birthday and the same day he first asked me to be his girlfriend a year ago.

What a stud.
